Calling for Expert Speakers from your Society!

It is our pleasure to announce the 6th International Congress on the History of Urology, which will take place on March 11th, 2016 in Munich, Germany. The Congress will the held in conjunction with the 31st Annual EAU Congress, which is held in the same location from 11-15 March.

The full-day programme highlights urology on all six inhabited continents, organised around four distinct topics:

  • Worldwide roots – international contributions to early urology
  • Politics – the establishment of societies, standards and regulation
  • Pioneers – the personalities and stories behind innovators of the field
  • Sex around the world – attitudes and practices across the globe

Please keep checking back on EAU16.org for further updates to the Scientific Programme.

We are currently looking for speakers from around the world, who might have a subject of interest to contribute to one of the four topics. As a national society, we were hoping the Ukrainian Urology Association might put us in touch with history-minded urologists in your country who are interested in presenting at the Congress.

Please ask your colleagues to put forward suggested speakers and topics for our congress! You can send your recommendations to Mrs. Claudia van IJzendoorn on behalf of the Organising Committee before June 16th. Topics and speakers will be selected in July.

The International Congress on the History of Urology will be taking place simultaneously with the Urology Beyond Europe sessions at EAU16, so urologists and speakers from your society may already be present in Munich.

We look forward to your suggested experts and their topics!

Honorary Chairman
Prof. Chris Chapple

Prof. Dirk Schultheiss
