Last call for ESUI Vision Award 2016
The EAU Section of Urological Imaging (ESUI) is calling for candidates for the ESUI Vision Award 2016. The first author of the most innovative imaging study published in urology during the last year will receive an unrestricted grant of € 1,500, sponsored by Invivo Corporation, producer of UroNav, an MRI /ultrasound prostate biopsy solution.
You are invited to send a PDF copy of the published study or of the published/accepted abstract together with a CV and publication list by e-mail before 31 Jan 2016, 23.59 CET.

Do you have an interest in new minimally invasive procedures in benign prostatic obstruction? The ESU and the EAU Section of Uro-Technology (ESUT) are organising a new masterclass from May 20 to 21 in Heilbronn, Germany, the 1st ESU-ESUT Masterclass on Benign Prostatic Obstruction (ESUBPO16).
At this two-day masterclass, you will receive individual mentorship and practical tips from experts during two modules on instrument handling and hands-on training using dedicated stations. Refine your techniques or learn basic skills through tailored, step-by-step training procedures with direct mentorship from some of Europe’s BPO experts. Application is now open.
Survey on the use of Hem-o-loks
Despite the decision of the FDA to contraindicate the use of Hem-o-lok clips for ligation of the renal artery during laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy, Hem-o-loks are widely used by urologists to control the renal pedicle during laparoscopic and robotic nephrectomies. Given the existing controversy, the EAU Section of Transplantation Urology (ESTU) is investigating the use of Hem-o-lok clips with a survey among European centres performing these surgeries.
