LUGANO/SINGAPORE, 08 November 2016 – ESMO, the leading professional organisation for medical oncology, is pleased to announce the second ESMO Asia 2016 Congress, from 16 to 19 December at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre. This scientific and educational congress is led by an international scientific committee and promotes the sharing of expertise and interaction between regional and international experts in oncology.

The Asia 2016 programme will offer state of the art science across all major tumour types. The scientific programme is already online here
Delegates attending the ESMO Asia 2016 Congress will discuss current clinical challenges and novel treatment strategies for particular tumour subtypes as well as updates on translating emerging cancer therapeutics into clinical use.
As well as the latest science, Asia 2016 Congress will highlight bioethical, economic and social challenges posed by cancer such as the rising costs of treatments, the need for psychological support for patients, the need for better palliative care and the vital importance of improving access to innovative drugs.

Late-breaking abstracts (prefix ‘LBA’) will be made public at the beginning of the official ESMO Asia 2016 Congress session during which they are presented.
Abstracts selected for official ESMO Press Programme (additional suffix ‘_PR’) will be made public at 00:05 hrs SGT (local Singapore Time) on the day of presentation during the official ESMO Asia 2016 Congress programme.
With over 500 scheduled presentations and organised by a top international faculty, ESMO Asia 2016 Congress is the place to be for all medical and clinical oncologists, academic and community practising oncologists, clinical, basic, translational and industry researchers, young oncologists, radiotherapists, oncology surgeons, organ-based specialists and all other medical professionals involved in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with different types of cancer.
Last year, ESMO Asia 2015 attracted 2965 oncology professionals from over 32 countries.
