LUGANO-COPENHAGEN, 28 September, 2016 – Abstracts to be presented as Posters or Poster Discussions at ESMO 2016 Congress will be published online today at 12:00 CEST.
From disease treatment to patient care, posters cover a wide range of topics from all tumour types to basic science, immunotherapy of cancer, health economics, palliative care and developmental therapeutics.

This year, the total of submitted abstracts was 2,884 (regular and late breaking) of which 1,640 were accepted.
Accepted abstracts were assigned to the following categories of sessions:
- Oral: 74
- Poster discussion: 151
- Poster display: 1,368
TOTAL: 1,593
Accepted Late Breaking Abstract (LBA) submissions:
- Oral: 30, of which 12 Presidential
- Poster discussion: 17
TOTAL: 47 LBAs
