Dear Aleksandr Shulyak,
With the rapid developments and evolving treatment strategies in prostate cancer, the EAU will hold in Vienna, Austria, from 15 to 16 September the first EAU Update on Prostate Cancer (PCa17).
A single-topic meeting that will examine various aspects in prostate cancer management, PCa17 is the first in a new series planned solely for onco-urology.
“This two-day event is an initiative that responds to the need for a practical, compact and insightful educational meeting,” said organisers Professors Manfred Wirth, Jens Rassweiler and Joan Palou.
The meeting agenda includes thorough assessments of medical strategies with incisive recommendations on systemic treatments, castration-resistant disease, drug selection or sequencing and complications management. Using evidence-based medicine and interactive breakout sessions, difficulties in diagnosis, use of imaging tools, and follow-up strategies will be explored.
With expert-led interactive breakout sessions and a rotating faculty designed to examine issues and obstacles in decision-making, PCa17 goes beyond the usual update meeting. “Skills-sharing, identifying best practices and prospects are the core aims to boost and deepen the participant’s educational needs,” the organisers said.
Collaborating with the European School of Urology (ESU), testing (pre- and post-educational assessment) modules will be offered, and webinars and other training activities will enable participants to refine their skills in diagnosis and surgery.
Stay on the forefront of PCa management, join us in Vienna!
