With great pleasure we can inform you that the 2015 Impact Factor of European Urology has risen to14.976. The impact factor is a measure of the citation rate per article, and is calculated by dividing 1 year's worth of citations to a journal's articles published in the previous 2 years by the number of articles published by that journal in those 2 years. We congratulate the editorial team and the authors with this success!

The International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (iCPS) will hold the Bladder Cancer Europe 2016 meeting on 21 June in Brussels. Represented by Prof. Hein Van Poppel, EAU Adjunct Secretary General for Education, the EAU will join the crucial roundtable meeting.
“By presenting our views and actively participating in open discussions we can highlight issues that are often overlooked. We can offer insights on healthcare issues and by doing so, European Union (EU) policy makers can focus on key topics and help orient or facilitate public understanding,” said Van Poppel.

The mission of the Global Philanthropic Committee (GPC) is to provide philanthropic support to improve urological education in the developing world.
The inaugural GPC project was the support of two regional urology training centres in Nigeria and Senegal that serve multiple countries. Since the implementation, both centres have established formal academic training programmes and have significantly improved the urological care provided to patients.
A call for applications is now open for funding requests and can be done online. Application deadline is 15 August. |
